Online Payday Advance

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Ken_Marlborough]Ken Marlborough An Online Payday Advance is the fastest and simplest method of getting a Payday Advance. All that the customer has to do is to go to the website hosted by the lending institution and click the relevant link. The link takes the customer to the web page containing the application form [Customer Information Sheet], which should take no more than 2 minutes to complete. The form contains basic details such as age, source of income, bank credit history and more, to determine whether the borrower will have the means to repay the advance. After completing the form, the user submits it to the lending institution using the `submit button on the web page. Based on the details, the crediting institution sends an email with the borrowers customer service username and password. [This step is necessary to keep confidentiality and to prevent misuse]. The email usually contains clear instructions to the customer, for instance, to `click on the “”confirm”" link in the email, to complete the application process. This step ensures that the customers email ID is genuine. Some lenders may require the borrower to fax his/her personal check with the number that is entered in the application, a current bank statement, and the last 2 pay stubs to prove the general financial standing. This completes the application process. Then the lending institution studies the application, verifies the details [including references, bank statements of his regular checking account, etc]. Once convinced, the lender approves the application and lets the customer know by phone or email that the application is approved. Then the borrower signs the Loan Agreement. The advance cash is electronically deposited in the customers bank account that evening. The repayment is done by debiting this cash advance plus fees, APR, from the customers bank account, electronically as per his or her `Payment request [which too can be submitted online around 2 days prior to the pay day]. Customer lender communication and funds transactions are almost entirely done online in this type of Payday Advance. The Hidden Use of Reciprocity as a Powerful Persuasion Technique

By Preston Campbell How would you like a quick and easy Persuasion Technique to get just about anyone to feel they “owe” you? Imagine what a persuasion technique this would mean for a sales call, a sales letter (yes you can do in it writing too), a negotiation, business discussions, or a situation where you are trying to get someone to do something. There is a simple way you can create this sense of obligation in someone. You do it by using the principle of reciprocity. That is, when you give something to someone, that person will almost always feel obligated to give you something back. The sense of reciprocity is so strong that in research studies where one person treated people nicely and the other person treated the same people poorly but gave them something (lets say offered them a soda), these people were more likely to do something for the person who treated them poorly. Reciprocity is one of the most powerful persuasion techniques that you can employ. Now if you are familiar with reciprocity don’t stop reading yet, because I have a little different twist on this whole concept to share with you in few moments. It’s very likely that when you think of reciprocity, you think of giving someone a “thing” … it could be a gift, food, something to drink, or some other physical object. The problem with this is that in business situations current ethics guidelines may prohibit gifts (this is certainly the case in government contracts). In personal and business situations, giving a physical object creates a sense of obligation to provide something in return which can at times be awkward. Have you ever gotten a present from someone at Christmas, but didn’t have anything to give in return. Next thing you know youre sneaking out of the house to run down to the store or looking in the closet for left over gifts. Reciprocity is not always an effective persuasion technique if used the wrong way at the wrong time. Another way to create a desire to reciprocate is to expend some of your effort for someone. While my wife and I were on a trip recently our neighbors were kind enough to pick up our newspapers every day and hold them for us (we forgot to stop the delivery). That was a very nice thing to do. Shortly after we returned home, they saw the car in the driveway and brought the newspapers over. After our neighbors left, my wife looked at me, I looked at her and we both said at just about the same time “we need to do something to thank them.” Five minutes later, I was standing at the neighbors door with a bottle of wine to repay them for the effort. The problem with doing something for someone is that this persuasion technique won’t work in situations where you don’t have the opportunity to use it due to time constraints or other factors or where you may not have the desire to put out the effort. Another way to induce reciprocity persuasion technique is to share information. The most common way to do this is for you to share information that the other person doesn’t have (and would find valuable). As a marketer when making sales calls to prospective clients, I would almost always try and have some information that the client would find valuable. For example, I would often offer some upfront recommendations on how to fix current advertising to make it perform better. Another tactic I found very effective would be to tell the prospect something they didn’t know about their competitors or their customer buying preferences. By the way, a comment on ethics is important here. Do not share information that is inappropriate to give away. That is information given to you in confidence, company sensitive or proprietary information, or information which if divulged would hurt someone else. There is one other very cool way to create the reciprocity persuasion technique. It doesn’t require giving a physical object, it doesn’t require expending any real effort and it puts a different slant on sharing information. If done properly, it creates a desire to “return the favor” without the person it was directed to even realizing what has happened. This hidden use of the reciprocity persuasion technique is to SHARE A SECRET. This little twist can really build the value of information that would otherwise seem very trivial. It gives you the ability to offer something very simple to another person and quickly induce a desire to reciprocate (often at the unconscious level - it just kind of slips through). A great example happens every day in just about any restaurant. It goes like this. The waitress walks up to your table to take your order, she bends down, looks around conspiratorially, lowers her voice and says “I shouldn’t be telling you this … normally I would recommend the Salmon, it’s one of our specialties, but today, the fish just isn’t fresh, I’d recommend the Swordfish or the Ahi instead. Most people don’t know this, but the Swordfish and Ahi actually cost less and you get more to eat.” Guess what happens at the end of the meal? Research studies have shown that the waitress gets a bigger tip. A second type of secret you can share is something about yourself. This is a form of giving and can create a strong desire on the part of the other person to share information, open up, or give back in some other way. You might say something like “let me share something with you about myself that I’ve only told a few other people …” Think of all the ways you could use secrets as a reciprocity persuasion technique in sales, negotiations, or other types of persuasion situations. A third class of secrets you could share would be little known, exclusive, insider information. People are curious and people love to be on the inside, to feel exclusive. If you have information that is exclusive, that you can ethically share, and that is relevant to the person you are trying to persuade you can offer this and quickly induce the desire to reciprocate. The neat thing is, it doesn’t have to necessarily be monumental, just the fact that few people know about it can create value. Make sure you let the other person know the information being offered is exclusive. You might say something like “I want to share something with you I just found out, only a few people know about this, and it will only be shared with a handful of people … (offer the information).” Before we wrap up, let me offer a couple of quick guidelines on using reciprocity persuasion technique. First, you typically want to induce it up front early if you are in a conversation. Reciprocity lowers resistance which is something you want to do early in just about any dialogue. Second, don’t offer something too large. If you are giving some sort of an object or even some information with very large value, it could be looked upon more as a bribe and might actually create resistance. If you want to learn more about the reciprocity persuasion technique and other persuasion and influence principles, I highly recommend Kevin Hogan’s “Science of Influence” Course. That’s it for today! I’m about to spend several hours on the phone (oh boy). Use the reciprocity persuasion technique, and particularly add secrets to your reciprocity arsenal. You’ll be amazed that the results are even better than you expected. Tooth Whitening Gels

By Jason Gluckman Tooth whitening is the process by which the color of natural teeth is made whiter by the use of whitening products. Tooth lightening by gels is done by applying a carbamide peroxide gel or paste to the teeth; this gel is known as tooth-whitening gel. The use of tooth-whitening gels is a very popular cosmetic dental procedure, which is available as a home product, too. The whitening gel is a special dental product that can be applied to the teeth on a frequent basis and is considered to be one of the safest products used in dentistry. Its results in effecting a whiter tooth are immediate. This gel is made up of powerful bleaching ingredients, such as hydrogen peroxide and carbamide peroxide, which bleach the stains within the teeth. Many types of tooth-whitening gels are available now. Tooth whitening by the use of gels is very effective because the gel works deep into the tooth to bring about the whiteness in considerably less time than other products. Other products whiten teeth on the outer layer in a short time, but the result may be temporary. Children who are above two years of age can also use tooth-whitening gels. Since these gels contain no fluoride, the possibility of toxicity due to the swallowing of the gel is ruled out. Tooth-whitening gels function on the whitening effects of carbamide peroxide. This provides the vitamins C and E, and these ingredients stimulate the production of healthy mouth tissues and fight the germs that cause bad breath, without the aid of alcohol or other harmful ingredients. Whitening teeth with the use of gels is the most popular cosmetic dental procedure because it can significantly improve the appearance of the teeth at much less cost and without the inconvenience of other techniques. This is also the reason why a good majority of dentists use tooth-whitening gels. Tooth Whitening provides detailed information on Tooth Whitening, Professional Tooth Whitening, Laser Tooth Whitening, Tooth Whitening Systems and more. Tooth Whitening is affiliated with Philadelphia Cosmetic Dentists. Motorola V3xx: A Heady Cocktail Of Fashion And Features

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Alice_Erin]Alice Erin It is really hard to categorize the Motorola 3xx. The handset is technically far ahead of other fashion solutions and at the same time is far too fashionable than any 3G phones. The V3xx sports a more compact and streamlined Motorola RAZR V3 design combined with broadband like speed and dynamic multimedia capabilities. The award winning cutting edge RAZR design is further enhanced with premium metal finishes, a precision cut keypad and a svelte form in the Motorola V3xx . The handset’s external display of 65k colours doesn’t compare much to the primary internal 252k colours TFT display, but produces decent images that could be easily read in bright outdoors. The 2.2 inch internal screen produces accurate images so is great to view web-pages and perfectly doubles up as full-screen viewfinder for the integrated 1.3 megapixel camera with digital zoom. Moreover, video capture and playback in popular MPEG4 format is also supported. The Motorola V3xx supports HSDPA high-speed data transfer at 3.6 Mbps (category 6), so you can well imagine the fast pace of Internet connectivity and content download. Powered with Class 10 EDGE/GPRS apart from HSDPA, the Motorola V3xx also supports live two-way video calls with the extra VGA-camera. Quad band GSM network support and automatic switching between bands keeps the V3xx fully functional in all the five continents. Strategic Marketing: “Being There” Maximized

By Daniel Wadleigh Whoever is in control of sales to the end-user is the real one in control. A contractor can switch distributors and/or manufacturers instantly and likely not suffer much, but the “buck stops here” on the shelves of distributors if the ones who sell to end-users go elsewhere to buy product. That is why you see wholesalers and manufacturers going direct, to control and protect. However, you can’t have your cake and eat it too. You plan your act and act your plan. Once manufacturers and distributors lose the trust of the contractors, they’d better be prepared to take on a complete reversal of their method of distribution. It’s also hard to get the contractor-customers back after stiffing them. The point is, he who controls distribution flow to the end can do a lot of things later. The development of customer base and/or credibility in a market region is expensive, painful, time-consuming and is to be treasured, not taken lightly. Also, the development of this trust/value, perceived by end-users, can be utilized in at least three major ways that are all too often overlooked: A. Referrals - As previously described in detail, you must pay to develop leads. Referral leads have the highest close rate and are the least expensive to generate. “Mr. Jones, since we have to pay to advertise, we’d rather pay you, our valued customer, than the commercial ad industry. We’ll reward you with a ____ for each customer that you bring us who buys a ______.” You have to give them an incentive of meaningful value. It’s the least expensive, most profitable way to generate income because you are using an asset that you have already paid for - your trusting customers. If you don’t do this, assuming that you are able, then you are costing yourself money that somebody else (who knows how to market) will eventually earn. B. Secondary Markets It’s the same story, once you have a network. It’s like a funnel that you can pour more goods and services through. If you sold them a widget, assuming that they are happy about the value, go back and sell them another kind of widget or a service contract for either a widget or for a totally different concept - whatever can fit your business style. Some of the new types of services can be handled by sub-contractors. Again, you have lower lead costs and commissions, and you are building more protection by broadening your bag of tricks. Be careful not to over-extend and lose control of quality and service, because dependability is by far (according to the consumers) the number one criterion in contractor choice, over both price and product. Again, if you can and don’t, it’s costing you. C. Premium Networking Encourage other companies to offer a discount on your product or service as a premium for doing business with them. “Buy from us and get a 10% discount on __Company’s widget.” This gives you free advertising access to an established customer base and no effort to promote or close. Again, this kind of customer can be developed for referrals and secondary markets. Have your network partner explain that the customer can save 10% on your widget because of your savings on advertising costs. Educate, justify, explain and offer a discount. If it costs more, explain why higher quality is worth more (justify); if it costs less, explain why higher volume allows for less cost (justify). Educate them as to why it costs more and they will appreciate the extra value. The value of anything is what somebody is willing and able to pay for it. The value is not the price you put on something, it’s what the market accepts; educate them as to why your “higher than average” price has superior quality and you will get your price and profit. You must break the concept that it’s apples-to-apples in value against a lower priced equivalent in order to justify your price. Are there secondary products or services that you can sell to your existing customer base? Which other businesses can generate leads for you by offering a discount on your service - and vice versa? D. Media Advertising - Once you have created the best possible ad, using the tools in this manual including the Market Research section, and then testing it on a few people, you need to find out which media is most productive. Later you will want to fine-tune to become cost-effective. But, to start, you need to run the ad on one medium. Radio is a medium that is easy to get quick responses from. Assuming that you have a “direct response” ad as opposed to an “image enhancing” ad, monitor the responses. After monitoring the responses, change the ad a little and run it on a different radio station. Monitor the results again. Keep running your best ad to keep the business coming in, always monitoring and testing to maximize results. Don’t become satisfied with any ad until you know that it draws as much as possible. Watch other ads on television. If one gets repeated often, it’s because it works. Then, try your improved ad on other media the Sunday paper, television, whatever your budget will allow. This approach should have been already budgeted for in any start-up business, or, for any individual campaign. Television is best used for products/services that have visual impact value. The next step, after getting past break-even, is to test additional ways to generate business. Don’t wait for the bottom of a cycle to try something new. You should test during the good times in order to have a managed income condition. Panic is the wrong circumstance under which to look for something to do. If direct mail, e-mail or telemarketing are possible avenues for your business, test as quickly as possible. E. Seasonal Campaigns - Be it Christmas, end of the tax year, weather or the Spring-Fall buying sprees, you need to prepare. If you fail to plan, you plan to fail. These are “pre-disposed” buying conditions. This is when “sale” or “special pre-season” offers attract the pre-disposed buyers. As covered in the “Promotions” section, you need to appeal to their sense of belief in your sensible offer. They don’t want to be deceived, but, they do want a truly good deal. All the studies and my own experience say that they will pay more to get more. It’s your job to make sure that you get in front of them and have the best “more” available. Daniel Wadleigh is a nationally published marketing consultant and has programs for start-up and existing businesses including effective web sites, e-mail/database, other non-internet ways to drive them to your website, and low cost ways to get more new customers. Wedding Receptions - Beyond the Traditional

By Eugena Anthony You have begun planning your wedding and started thinking about what you want to do for the wedding reception. It is the norm to have a wedding reception on Saturday night with dinner, bouquet and garter tosses, cake cutting, and dancing. But you may want to have a different type of reception or choose to exclude or even add some elements depending on your tastes and budget. Instead of having a Saturday evening dinner reception you could do a Sunday afternoon brunch or luncheon reception. Just by changing the time of day and the day of the week on which you have your reception you can save a lot of money and still have the same type of event. You can still do all of the traditional elements like cutting the cake, tossing the garter and bouquet, but you would probably be having a lighter menu and less food than a regular reception. Since it’s the middle of the day your guests would probably be more understanding of not having a premium open bar, saving you even more money. What if you could have two receptions and save money? You might have a vision of a truly extravagant reception and it’s your dream reception but you cannot afford to invite 400 people to that kind of affair. Instead of totally neglecting the 200 people that are friends or acquaintances that you are not exactly close to but still want to invite to celebrate your marriage, you could do a separate less extravagant event. You could have an appetizer reception immediately following the ceremony in the church hall (or another inexpensive venue) for all of the guests that are invited to the ceremony. You would then be ale to mingle with those guests and they would get a chance to witness your union. Just make sure that you give your guests the correct reception cards so that the appropriate people attend each reception. If you are having a small wedding you could have the reception at a restaurant. Many restaurants have private rooms that you could rent for a small fee. You could have a menu of items that are within your budget from which your guests can choose to order. You might even decide to get a wedding cake to cut. Just because you are having your reception at a restaurant that does not mean that your guest will be paying. You should always pay for anything to which you invite guests. One of the most informal ideas is to have a dessert reception. You could have this type of reception at the home of the bride’s parents or at a friend’s home that is large enough to accommodate all of your guests. You could have wedding cake as well as pies, brownies, cookies, and other assorted desserts. You normally would not have any dancing or any of the other traditions typically found at a wedding reception at this kind of event. It’s basically just a time to fellowship after the ceremony and greet your guests. Now if you have an extensive budget and are looking to really add something to your reception you could book a venue with several rooms. You could have a room for appetizers and then a huge room for the main reception and dinner. You could also have various lounges set up for relaxing, conversation, or even games. The lounges would each have a different look and feel and be equipped with chairs and sofas. Another idea would be to have an after party. Some brides and groom want to enjoy as much time with their guests as possible instead of just running off to start the honeymoon. So you could rent out a club for those guests that want to dance and continue the party past the wedding reception. You could dance, play games and even do karaoke. Or maybe you could rent out a bowling alley or skating rink, it all depends on what the bride and groom enjoy most. So your wedding reception does not have to be typical you could go beyond the traditional. Eugena Anthony created A Wedding Reception to Remember to help you plan the wedding reception of your dreams. Tips For Black Love

By Paul Grant Ideas for Building and Maintaining Black-on-Black Love Introduction This paper is designed to provide practical tips and advice for Afrikan (Black) people seeking to build a new relationship or maintain and strengthen an existing relationship. It is the authors belief that the current widespread disillusionment, frustration and sense of resignation that so many Black people express in relation to the current state of Black male/female relations (both sexual and non-sexual) is simply a sad symptom of how many of us feel about the state of the Race. If you keep on doing the same thing you will always get the same result, therefore since most of us; whatever our perspective, would agree that too many of our relationships are not working, we can at least agree as a starting point that Black men and women are going to need to change their values, attitudes and behaviours if we are to heal this growing divide. Family is the basis of community and male/female relations are the basis of family, therefore if we do not repair our relationships everything else we seek to address e.g. education, economics etc. will end in failure. TOP TIPS If you keep on doing the same thing. Most people subconsciously are drawn to a particular type of person. We have the tendency to repeat cycles of behaviour, which is fine for productive behaviours but not so good for dysfunctional behaviours. Assess your past partners, what they were like and why you got involved with them. If it hasnt been working, do and choose something different. The List Everyone has heard of sisters list. Well, brothers have a list as well. It is a trueism that men focus on looks and women on money/status, but like most trueisms there is some truth to it, only now the sisters want the looks and the wealth! Sisters, reduce the list by half, then burn it! Brothers, get mental as well as physical! Birds of a feather. Your (prospective) partners friends will tell you a lot about who they really are. Check them out before you get too deeply involved. Be careful what you ask for, you just might get it - It is another trueism that we often know more about what we want than what we really need and the two are often some distance apart. What is your relationship model How did you come to your ideas of what a good relationship is? Are there good Black relationships that you have experience of that you are seeking to emulate? Respect You can have Respect without Love but not Love without Respect. If s/he routinely disrespects you; get outta there. Physical Violence Once is once too many. They get help or they get out. Power Brothers, you dont need to have power over your woman. Sisters, you dont need to outman your man. We both need Black Power! Sex - Sisters, dont give up the tings too quick! Almost invariably it is the woman who decides when sex first takes place in a relationship. Dont make him wait for the sake of it, make him wait so that you can get to know each other emotionally, psychologically, intellectually and then physically. Infidelity infidelity usually ends up destroying relationships because it destroys trust. Money - It may be the root of all evil however it is also the cause of many broken relationships (more than are due to sexual issues). Get financially literate, set joint financial objectives and discuss your finances regularly with your partner. Marriage Brothers, if you seriously love her and she loves you, then get married. Marriage is good. It doesnt have to be big, fancy and expensive, just a public declaration of Black on Black Love. Extended Family Relationships are a buy one get several (dozen) relatives for free. Check them out early on since you can choose your friends but not your partners relatives! Religion/Spirituality One can be religious without being spiritual, spiritual without being religious and religious and spiritual. In general; people committed to a religion, particularly a proselytising religion (e.g. Christianity and Islam), are best off with someone from the same religion. Children - Children are the gift of Life. Both of you need to be in the same ballpark when it comes to having children i.e. how many and when. Get this issue sorted out before you commit or it will return to haunt you. Some People Change and some dont Often Men think that their woman wont change and Women think that they can change their man. Progressive Compromise The writer Haki Madhubuti coined this term. It is about growing together and being able to differentiate between negotiable and non-negotiable issues. If you both share the same values you will find that most issues are negotiable. Taking your partner for granted Bad habits are easily formed and hard to break. Taking your partner for granted is one of the worst relationship habits. Always remember how you treated each other in the early days. Seeking Help An ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure. Dont be afraid to seek help from people you both respect and trust. Paul Ifayomi Grant is a writer and management consultant, husband and father. What A Fish Finder Can Do For You!

By Trevor Kassulke Have you ever spent hour after unproductive hour fishing on a lake with nothing to show for it? I doubt there’s a serious angler anywhere who hasn’t had that happen to them. So, if you can relate to that, this article about the advantages of a fish finder might be just what you need. Fish finders utilize sonar. These devices use sound waves to detect the bottom of the lake, calculate the depth, and will also detect anything between the surface and the bottom, such as fish. This technology gives the angler a huge advantage by letting you know right away whether or not there are any fish present. Fish finders have become increasingly more sophisticated in recent years. Early fish finders simply flashed to indicate the presence of fish. But, today, with improved electronics, you can get things such as LCD’s with a wide variety of LCD types and resolution. The best fish finders today are similar to watching a color display of the water you’re fishing in and show everything with great clarity. Fish finders vary widely in price and, like everything else; you get what you pay for. Larger units with more features will cost more. Generally, units with higher resolution will cost more than those with lower resolution. Higher resolution will give you greater detail as to what is in the water. Many of the most popular fish finders are wrist-mounted devices and are worn just like a wrist watch. They will only have basic functions but are very mobile and easy to use. Other fish finders utilize large displays and can be mounted to your boat. Fish finders can be found for as little as $100 and as high as several thousand dollars. There are many brands available with a wide variety of features, so it pays to do your research before you buy. You can check locally or do what most people are doing nowadays… check them out online. It faster and easier. You can also find fish finders that include a Global Positioning System (GPS). GPS technology is great for anglers as it provides accurate information about your location. This will help you to return to that great fishing spot with ease. All you have to do is simply record the GPS coordinates of any location and you can easily find it again. The accuracy of GPS is about 9 feet so that should be good enough to find those fish again. And one of the best benefits of GPS is the safety factor. You will never get lost as you can program your starting point and then easily find your way home… even on the largest of lakes and even in dense fog. Don’t underestimate the importance of this feature. So, having a fish finder is a great way to increase your catch each time out. It will tell you where the fish are (and are not), give you depth information, and return you to your favorite fishing hole. And, with GPS, it will get you back home easily and safely. Do your research online and find the best fish finder to suit your needs and budget. You won’t regret it. By Gail Leino If you or someone you know where born under the sign of the Horse Chinese Zodiac, you may recognize some of the following traits. For example, individuals of the Horse Chinese Zodiac often are intelligent, sharp, fashionable, and excellent talkers they can charm just about anyone. What they cannot do, however, is avoid the trap falls associated with love. Individuals born of the Horse Chinese Zodiac live footloose and fancy free, literally, as they seem to live for the feelings of freedom that come from falling in and out of love. Often they leave home early, as they feel a certain level of drive toward establishing their own boundaries and lifestyles. They have to be involved whether it is is in an intellectual discussion or a game of flag football, you will not find those born under the Horse Chinese Zodiac sitting quietly on the sidelines. They have to be involved. Individuals born under the Horse Chinese Zodiac are graceful, eager, impetuous, and often act without fully thinking things through. Because of these traits, they must also be quick thinking and able to react in a flexible manner. They are fiery - both in living styles and their temper, and they dont realize when they are weak, or worse yet, wrong. Instead, they will plow through the tasks at hand with little thought toward anything other than their own ability to succeed. Individuals born under the Horse Zodiac Signs require jobs that let them create and work in a stimulating and fresh environment. Growing up on the Farm: Then And Now

By Gabriel J. Adams Growing up on the farm used to be a tough proposition. Now with all of the technology that is available, it is much easier to grow up on a farm than it was in the past. Still not easy, though. In the not too distant past, farmers used to be the toughest, smartest, and thriftiest people in the nation. At the present time farmers rely heavily on their machinery to bring in their crops. However you must give some love to the farmers of America, because without them we would be lacking fruits and vegetables to eat. Also they perform all of their work and their crops are worth less and less every year, because of the technological advancements that have been made. It is ironic that the very thing they use to make their jobs easier actually makes them work harder to make the same amount of money. It was a much more straightforward life for farmers in the early days. In the past farmers would wake up before dawn to start working in the fields to make sure that their crops were the best crops possible. Farmers used to use many different types of hand tools and animals to help them get their job done. Nowadays farmers rely on many different types of machinery to work their crops on the farm. I think that one of the major differences between farmers of old and the new breed of farmers is the ability of farmers to make things work when they have a problem. In the old days a tool would break, or the barn would leak, and the farmer would figure out a way to fix it with the materials that they had at their disposal. Today a farmer will just call a repairman, or take their machinery into the shop to get it fixed. My father-in-law grew up on a farm and he has an uncanny ability to make things worth without spending very much money to do so. I do not want people to think that I do not have respect for farmers, because I have a tremendous amount of respect for them. However I think that farmers in the old days worked much harder, and had more hard learned skills than the farmers of today. A farm is definitely a hard place to grow up now, but many people died, or were worked to death in the past, so we need to remember the farmers that blazed the trail before all of the technology of todays farm.
